Google Duplex: AI That Sounds Human

Google's AI-powered assistant is getting an upgrade with Google Duplex, a revolutionary technology that allows AI to make phone calls and carry out conversations with remarkable human-like speech patterns.

At Google I/O 2018, a demo showcased Duplex making a restaurant reservation, complete with natural pauses and intonations.

The implications are huge because, Duplex could automate appointment bookings, customer service, and more. However, ethical concerns arise around AI transparency and deception.
